Washington, D.C. March 20, 2010. FULL SIGNAL, a new, award-winning documentary on the hazards of cell phones and wireless technologies, will have its D.C. Premiere at the 18th Environmental Film Festival on Thursday evening, March 25th, at the E Street Cinema in Washington, D.C. at 7:00 p.m. Tickets ($10.00) are on sale now at the E Street Cinema Box Office: (202) 452-7672.

A discussion with the film’s director, Talal Jabari, will follow the screening. Director Talal Jabari, a Palestinian-American who is a former CBS news producer and documentary maker, created FULL SIGNAL because he became concerned about wireless hazards as a new parent. In December, FULL SIGNAL won Best Documentary at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival and an Award of Merit at the Accolade Competition.

Filmed in 10 countries, FULL SIGNAL depicts the growing global resistance to the ever increasing number of cell phone towers and antennas in residential neighborhoods; anger over acute and chronic illnesses experienced the world over in close proximity to cell phone transmitters (some visible and others concealed in steeples, chimneys, towers, within building premises, etc.); increasing concern over cell phone use by children, shown in scientific research to be more vulnerable to microwave radiation; and grave concern by eminent scientists and physicians about the potential long-term consequences of microwave radiation for the health of both humans and the environment.
