Health and Human Services Committee of the Maine State Legislature – Testimony

Camilla Rees, Founder of ElectromagneticHealth.org, testified today before the Health and Human Services Committee of the Maine State Legislature. Rees, along with scientists from the U.S. and Europe, and other health policy advocates, were in Maine to support the Children’s Wireless Protection Act. If passed, Maine will be the first state in the nation to require warning labels on cell phones.

Mayor Gavin Newsom in San Francisco is also calling for warning labels on cell phones. Senator Mark Leno (D) of California also recently announced he will call for disclosure of cell phone radiation levels to consumers. Other states have similar legislation in development.
